You no longer have the expense and bother of buying and developing film. That was always a lot of trouble and you never knew if your pictures would turn out or how they would turn out (all could do was hope for the best). That is changed now.
You can look at the picture as soon as you take it. You can decide if you like the picture or not. If you don't like it, you can delete it and take another. It is always great digital quality with fantastic colors. You get autofocus every time (so no bad pictures anymore) and there is an easy electronic zoom to get as close as you want.
Other brands and models of cameras available
There is a large number of brands and models of digital cameras on the
market. Don't worry. We know what to look for and how to choose what is
best for your needs.
First, we start in deciding the number of megapixals. Each camera has a certain number of megapixals (1.x, 2.x, 3.x, 4.x, etc.). It is like the number of dots (pixels) on your computer screen or television. The more dots, the more detail. E-mailing pictures takes a different amount of resolution than printing pictures or enlarging pictures.
Digital cameras store their pictures on memory. They come with a minimum amount of memory. This is expandable to as much as you need. This is determined by your application or mixture of applications (e-mailing, zooming, printing, enlarging, etc.).
If
you use the lowest resolution with no magnification (zoom) you get more
pictures. If you zoom it takes more memory. The big difference is the
resolution in printing and enlarging (especially 8 x 10 and larger). All
of these factors combine to determine the number of pictures your camera
will hold.
Camera Software

The software is what you use to get the pictures from your camera to your computer. There are many brands and types of digital camera photo software out there. We help determine and install the one that is right for you and your applications.
Photo software provides features that allows you to:

Digital Camera Docks
Some brands offer a dock that connects to your computer. It automatically charges the battery. If you don't have a dock, you either have to carry around a separate charger or constantly replace the batteries (a lot of trouble and gets expensive). Your batteries are always charged with a dock (nothing worse than having dead batteries when you want to take a picture).
With the push of a button, the dock sends your photographs to your computer. It is so simple. You can then do all sorts of things with your pictures:

Photo Printers

Print from wallet size to poster size
You will want to print some of your pictures. With a digital camera you
can go through and look at the pictures on your computer and print only
the ones you want. You are no longer stuck with all those bad to mediocre
pictures you don't care for.
We can install a color printer that will be great for printing pictures as well as all you other printing (Internet, documents, labels, envelopes, etc.). You can also easy choose to print in black and white at any time (with the click of a button), if you want a monochromatic effect or just want to save color ink.
Color printers come in four types:
- Ink-jet
- Bubble-jet
- Color Photo Printer
- Color Laser
There are many different brands and models out there. They have different
levels of resolution, different types of color ink mixing and different
printing speeds. All combine to produce different results for every type
of application.
The standard inkjet and bubble color printers we are used to for everyday color printing needs may be adequate for you (e.g. if you just want to print wallet size on regular printer paper). If however, you want to print on high gloss photo paper you will want a photo printer. They produce film like results.
The differences in a photo printer is it has more resolution (detail) and a different type of color ink mixing. They have six different color cartridges (not the standard four- red, green, yellow and black in color inkjet, bubblejet and laser printers).
Photo
printers produce an amazing film-like reproduction. Last but not least,
they have a faster color photo printing speed. If you have ever tried
to print a color photograph with a standard color printer, you know how
agonizing it can be.
